Architectural Walking Tours
The Preservation Alliance's new guided walking tours interpret the past, present and future of the Philadelphia region as expressed through architecture, urban design and social history. Tours are led by a lively group of volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds who share their passion and knowledge of the region's built environment.

TOUR GUIDES WANTED!
If you are interested in training to become a volunteer tour guide for the Alliance, the first step in the process is attending Building Philadelphia: Architecture, History & Politics, at 10-part lecture series on the development of Philadelphia and its architecture, taught by architects, urban planners, art historians and social historians from local universities and architecture firms. The weekly series begins on March 23 at 6pm, with a lecture by Preservation Alliance executive director John Andrew Gallery on William Penn's original plan for Philadelphia. Individuals who complete the full series are invited to apply to become volunteer tour guides at both the Center for Architecture and the Preservation Alliance, and may be eligible for a rebate if they successfully complete tour guide training. Preservation Alliance members, and those under 35, can attend the lecture series at a discounted rate. Details here. Register here.
